The official touring concert of ConcernedApe’s Stardew Valley — a full orchestra playing Eric Barone’s score against animation from the game, conducted by Ian Passmore. I played percussion.

The setup was a small world of its own: glockenspiel, congas, suspended cymbal, and a trap table of tambourine, triangle, wood block, shaker and guiro — most of it sitting there to do one specific job at one specific moment, which is most of what a percussion chair in a pit actually is.

Two hours of music written for a farming game, played to a room that knew every cue before it landed.
