A commissioned work by Evan Chapman for the University of Tennessee Percussion Ensemble, recorded and filmed by Four/Ten Media as a multi-camera release rather than a documentation video.

Filming a percussion ensemble properly is a different job from recording one. The camera has to decide what the ear would have chosen, and with a large setup that decision happens dozens of times a minute. Making the piece for the release, rather than filming a concert that already existed, changed how we rehearsed it.
